Local lens records
LensLeft stores opening dates, replacement schedules, spare lens counts, replacement history, notification preferences, and optional lens information (brand, model, prescription reference values, and notes) locally on your device. Local records are shared with the LensLeft widget through Apple’s App Group storage. LensLeft does not send these records to a developer server or advertising providers. Optional iCloud synchronization is described below.
Advertising and your choices
LensLeft uses Google AdMob to show banner ads. Google may process IP-derived approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information to provide, measure, and protect its advertising services. LensLeft requests non-personalized ads, disables the publisher first-party ID, and does not request access to the advertising identifier (IDFA). Lens dates, stock, history, prescription reference values, and notes are never attached to ad requests. LensLeft Pro removes banner ads. Where required, a consent form appears before ads load; you can reopen available choices in Settings under Advertising privacy. Lens tracking works without ads or an internet connection. No LensLeft account or HealthKit access is required.

Notifications and widgets
If you grant permission, iOS schedules and displays local reminders. Lens dates or stock counts can appear on your Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets. You can change notification previews or permissions in iPhone Settings and remove widgets at any time.
Backup files and deletion
LensLeft Pro can export a backup to a location you choose in Files, including iCloud Drive if enabled. Backups contain lens records, optional prescription reference values and notes, history, stock, and reminder settings. These files are not encrypted by LensLeft. Protect the files and choose carefully where you save or share them. Detailed history can also be exported as CSV. Exported files are processed by the storage or sharing service you select under that service's privacy terms. LensLeft does not receive them or upload them to a developer server.
Backups are manual and do not update automatically. Restoring replaces the records on that device after confirmation. A backup does not grant paid access. Your device backup settings may also include local app data in backups managed by Apple or your computer. Delete LensLeft to remove its local app data; offloading may retain it. Delete exported files and device backups separately through the storage service or Apple/computer settings.
Optional automatic iCloud synchronization
LensLeft Pro offers optional automatic synchronization using Apple CloudKit. When you enable it, lens opening dates, replacement schedules, stock and replacement history are stored in your private Apple iCloud database and synchronized between devices using the same iCloud account. An app-scoped iCloud account identifier associates records with that account. A random device identifier and record change metadata help resolve conflicting changes. These records are used only for synchronization, not advertising or tracking, and are not sent to LensLeft servers. CloudKit handles encryption of the uploaded record asset and account access. Apple processes iCloud data under its privacy terms. Lens information cards, prescription reference values and notes are excluded from automatic synchronization and remain on each device. Local lens information cards are excluded from automatic device backups. User-initiated manual exports may still include these cards.
Synchronization requires Pro access, an available iCloud account, sufficient iCloud storage, and a network connection. It is not instant. Offline edits remain on the device and wait for synchronization. On first connection, if both places contain records, you choose the lens details to keep; distinct history entries are combined. Notification preferences remain separate on each device. Turning sync off keeps local records and the iCloud copy. Deleting or offloading the app does not remove the iCloud copy. Remove that copy separately in Apple's iCloud storage settings. Manual backup files are independent of automatic synchronization and must be deleted separately. If the iCloud account changes, synchronization stops and local records are kept until you explicitly link them again.
Purchases
LensLeft Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. LensLeft checks verified StoreKit transactions on your device to determine access and supports Restore Purchases. LensLeft does not receive your payment card details or send purchase records to a developer server. Apple handles purchase and refund requests under its policies. The local App Store price is displayed before purchase.

Support messages
When you submit the support form, your email address and message are sent to LensLeft support through Formspree to respond to your request. Formspree processes submissions and technical information, such as IP address and browser details, under its own privacy policy. Do not send prescriptions, medical records, or other sensitive information. LensLeft does not automatically attach lens records to support messages.
