Common questions

What does LensLeft Pro include?

Pro is an optional one-time purchase. It removes all ads and unlocks lens information cards, detailed history and CSV export, manual backup and restore, and optional automatic iCloud synchronization. The local App Store price is shown before you confirm. It is not a subscription.

What syncs with iCloud?

After you enable iCloud sync in LensLeft, opening dates, replacement schedules, stock and replacement history sync automatically between devices using the same iCloud account. Lens information cards, prescription values and notes stay on each device and are excluded from automatic sync and automatic device backups. Manual backup files can include them. Reminder preferences stay separate on each device.

How do I restore Pro on another device?

Use the Apple Account that purchased Pro, then choose Restore Purchases in LensLeft. Restoring a purchase restores access to Pro; it does not itself restore lens records. Optional iCloud sync and manual backup are separate.

How do I move or back up my records?

In Pro, export a backup to a location you choose in Files and import it on the other device. A backup can include lens cards and notes and is not encrypted by LensLeft. Keep it private. Importing replaces that device’s records after confirmation. Automatic iCloud sync only contains schedules, stock and replacement history.

How do I change the replacement schedule?

On My lenses, choose Edit schedule for one eye or Edit both schedules. Enter a whole number from 1 to 365. Follow your eye-care professional’s and lens manufacturer’s instructions. Editing both schedules preserves opening dates unless you choose a shared opening date.

Why didn’t a reminder appear?

Check LensLeft Settings and iPhone Settings → Notifications → LensLeft. Confirm permission, the chosen time, and your Focus or Scheduled Summary settings. Past reminders are not sent retroactively. The optional follow-up is sent once, the day after the planned replacement. After changing time zone, open LensLeft to refresh its schedule.

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold your iPhone Home Screen, choose Edit → Add Widget, search for LensLeft, and select small or medium. Open LensLeft and complete setup first. iOS decides when widgets refresh.

How is spare stock counted?

Count unopened spares only. A single-eye replacement uses one spare on that side; a fresh pair uses one on each side. The smaller stock count is the number of complete spare pairs. Low-stock notifications alert once at one pair or fewer and reset after restocking above one pair.

I recorded a replacement by mistake.

Open History and select Undo last replacement. This restores both eyes to their state before that replacement, including stock and any later manual edits. Review the confirmation before undoing.

Can LensLeft tell me whether my lenses are safe?

No. LensLeft is a reminder tool, not medical advice. It uses the schedule you enter and does not assess eye health or safe wearing time.

How do I remove my records?

Delete LensLeft to remove local app data. Offloading may keep your data, and device backups are managed separately by Apple or your computer. If you enabled iCloud sync, turning it off or deleting the app does not delete the iCloud copy. Manage it separately in Apple’s iCloud storage settings. Delete manual backup and CSV files separately wherever you saved them. There is no LensLeft server account to delete.
